So whats your scores? This is what I managed with the base settings without any overclocking.

Mushkin memory 2x4
FX8120
corsair force 60 ssd (non gt)
msi gtx560ti

I have noticed the comparable intel based chipsets like the one in my laptop get 7.9 with the same ssd.

Try using the Intel AHCI Drivers instead of the AMD ones you might just get that 7.9 with very little effort. That little nugget has been gone over on these here forums...somewhere....

Actually I believe I was getting 7.5 prior install of the amd drivers.

The Cpu score kinda bugs me considering that my 965 BE was a 7.5, but it's mostly likely because of the way windows 7 handles the scheduling, though the patches help a little bit. anyone able to get 7.9 with the FX 8150?. OCing would probably do it, but to what point? the Turbo core seems to be working it jumps to 3.9 Ghz, and some times a couple of the cores hit 4.2 but not for long.

no luck hitting 7.9 on cpu score,i have had it oc to 4.2 ghz but it did not change the score,i am running full time at 4ghz with air cooling[hyper 212 plus] and all 8 cores and it is fast but no 7.9 score.

jd2266: if im not wrong, you need to get 5ghz ( or more ) to get 7.9 on the cpu.
