yes that is normal when you have your work leds on. you can turn them on and off by a switch on back i/o plate i think its been a wile since i had that board.
Yes it's normal and there was two versions, the earlier one had a switch on the I/O plate that turned them on or off and the Later version where they put the control into BIOS as a setting for testing on the next models that came out after like my CHIVF.
Thank you sir! I guess I just never noticed them before.
Your welcome...Enjoy one of the Best Mother Boards ever created!
i wouldn't say it's the best board ever created. had one before and it had the common problem of turning on for a few seconds and then turns off.
1. AMD FX-8150, ASUS Crosshair V Formula, Inno3D GTX 560 x 2 in SLi, 8GB G.Skill RipjawsX 2133mhz DDR3, Cooler Master 750w, Windows 7 Ultimate
2. AMD Phenom II X6 1055t, ASUS Crosshair II Formula, Inno3D GTX 550 x 2 in SLi, 4GB OCZ 1033mhz DDR2 SLi-series, Cooler Master 650w, Windows 7 Ultimate
I don't know about that problem but it was the board that got me started to look at the ROG line and what was the final counter for my decision to purchase my CHIVF
Yeah, I have had this computer with this MB for 2 years now and have never had a problem with it, I got it in trade for doing some custom graphics on a computer store owners boat, it had been his gamer for years before that.
OK, here is something trippy I discovered on my MB concerning memory, the specs on this MB say 8GB max DDR 800/667/533 right? This is what I have installed, Kingston HyperX T1 Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KHX8500D2T1K2/4G

I wonder why he built this one with 1066 pc2 8500, does it even matter?
