    Audio Device fail

Hi guys, i need some help.
ive been runnin on a rampage 4 motherboard for 3 months now. and my onboard sound has been good. didnt want to go for pcie card, and didnt regret it.
now what happened is that my d-link wifi device was doing some wierd things, so i put it from the x1 slot to x8 above it. and it works prefectly now. while i was doing it i was getting some strange static in my speakers. now i dont get any sound coming out, only very low smooth bass... speakers work fine i connected them to another audio device. theyre just as good.
not too sure what to do, feels like the audio output just got messed up.. not sure how either.
any ideas what to do?? dont wanna go off buy an pcie card when this should be fixable..
    set up:
    Rampage 4 extreme
    i7 3960x
    gtx590
    4x4Gb gskill ddr3 2400
win7 is on 120GB revodrive ssd. (which has been giving me sooo many problems)
PLease help if u got any ideas! thanks

Have you uninstalled your drivers then reinstall them that might work.

Have you checked playback settings to make sure its set correct, right click speaker bottom right then click on your divice and then test. Also i just read if messing with your pci slots and have problem to reset cmos never done that myself but maybe worth trying.also try your headphone jack to see if you have sound there.

i dunno about the clearing cmos... i kinda dont wanna lose my settings, so if it wont work i'll be annoyed.
but i'll have a read into that. i mean a pcie sound card can always sort me out. it just bugs me coz i finished building the rig like 3 months ago and it took me about that long too.. sad times...

yea i read that one too. he said previous drivers sorted the problem. thing is it was working fine on the newest driver. i didnt update. i switched off, changed pcie slot for wifi device, turned on. wifi working. no sound. but while the computer was off, speakers were giving some wierd disturbance noise.. and now everytime i turn off the computer speakers making strange noise. like as if some signal is being sent from the MB but its just random signals.. hella confused..
doesnt seem like many had an issue like that..
do ROG representatives check the forum? can i contact them on this forum?
