help raising my oc-did it drity last night now want to fine tune it

So ive got a 2700k and a Asus maximus iv extreme. Im pretty happy with my oc so far but would like to see what i can to get even more. I did a quick as dirtly oc lastnight using the guide here and got 5.0 @1.39v 100.0x50 in bios and it pulled alittle more in windows at 1.41v, temps were 54c on the hottest core. I also posted into windows at 5.2ghz @ 1.43v in bios (pulled 1.466v in windows) and made it most the way through heaven 3.0 before crash dump. Raising the multi to anything beyond 52x multi will not post with 1.46v. So that was my quick and dirty oc now i want more but not sure which would be the best way to go at it. Ram is 1866 vengeance and its set to mobo default of 1333 @ 1.45v

For the most part i only run at stock on my pc so this is just for bragging rights and a benchmark on heaven 3.0 to post, Perhaps 1h total run time at high speeds. I use a H100 and 4x ultra kaze 3000 off a fan controller. Is there any fine tuning in the bios i can set that would help me get 5.5+

    Thanks for any input.

PS ive heard that its ok to hit 1.6v for a quick boot in to windows...

    Hello

First of all there is no guarentee that you CPU will even post at 55 x multi. Most CPUs will do 52x and some will do 53 x there after we are talking single diget percentages. Your temps and voltages are outstanding but to get higher you are most certainly going to need a whole lot more.

With good air cooling I could boot to 5.7GHz on my cpu.

If you are willing to take the risk give it a shot.

What I find with the MIVE board I can lower my CPU PLL quite a bit and that keeps the heat down.
