Help with radiator suited 120mm LED fans!

    Hi!

I am about to build my first water cooled pc and I am going with the red/black theme. The plan is to go with a Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper 360mm + 120 radiator and some red led matching fans, but I can't seem to find a clear answer on which are the best. I understand that gentle typhoons are ideal, but I would really like to find some red led ones, if they exist ;( I have been looking at Silverstones air penetrators, but people just seem to have split opinions on how good theese are for rads ;( Can anybody please help, since I want to order my hardware soon;((

I'm using the Enermax Apolish Vegas Blues with my rad. They are pretty quiet and very efficient.

    Speed: 800-2000rpm
AirFlow: 56.51-143.72 meters cubed per hour
    Static Pressure: 0.971-2.383mm H2O

They aint cheap but they do come in red.

Those could surely be an option, thank you for the response

I also had theese in mind:

They have a 4 pin pwr connector, but my fan controller uses 3 pin ones.. anyone know if it will work, or do they have to be connected to 4 pin headers?

The 4 pin pwr headed fans works just fine with the regular 3 pin controllers. However, inverse is not gonna work! So a pwr controller (4 pins) won't control a usual voltage regulated fan (3 pin) - if I recall correctly, the fan will run at it's max speed. Additionally, the 4 pin connectors are made in a way, they are compatible with the 3 pin connectors - at least in most cases...

They look nice, but pretty average on the static pressure (but half the price of the Enermax) Depends on your rad, its a pretty thick rad so you may need more static pressure than the Phobyas can give.

Zka is right for the connectors, you can plug the 4 pin ont to a 3 pin and vice versa works too

yeah, the rad is kinda thick ;/ no one using silverstone ap121 on their rad? Linus uses em in his extreme water cooling guide, but alot of people seem to question their performance on rads..

might just go with the gentle typhoon 1850 rpm fans to be on the safe side and just pimp the case up with a few led strips

Ardox, Alphacool rads are designed for low and medium speed fans - their fin density is around 10 fins per inch. That's meaning that you don't have to have fans with to high static pressure... Even lower static pressure ones would do it, specially if you put them in push-pull config...
