I've tried loosening the 4 screws on my H100 already, thanks for the suggestion though.

If you can RMA it and get anther do so. The fact you are using a SB is different from the other instances of the error55 that I have seen.

I just have a feeling if I RMA it, the replacement will do the same im pretty impatient, and just want it working ASAP.

Why do you think the replacement will do the same?

well browsing this forum, a lot of people have similar issues, seems to be a lot of issues with the RAM slots.
And I'm guessing that the RMA process takes a long time?

As far as I am aware you are the only SandyBridge person having this issue. All others are IVY and their slots work just fine - the problem for them is a BIOS fix I am sure. I have duplicated the issue with IVY many times over, and each time I pop a SB cpu into the board all the slots and the ram work just fine.

It just could be that your issue is not the same. Maybe you should post your own thread and list all your hardware and those things that you have done to problem solve.

So I installed bios 0813, restarted the system, then turned it off, reset the CMOS by clearing the battery, then I installed the memory into A1 and A2, turned on my PSU, then hit the clear cmos button on the back and still got a q-code of 55.

I tried loosening up the cooler bracket like 8 pack suggested, but still nothing.

Just to reiterate, I'm using unmatched 4gb samsung sticks. Is it because they're unmatched that the board is acting like this?

Naw man, Im using matched ram and I cannot use slots a1 or a2 either.

I'm becoming disheartened with this maximus gene v board between the a1 & a2 ram problem and the non working wifi mini pci adapter. If Hivizman wasn't so ontop of the community with his excellent support / information I would have RMAd the sucker for a Gigabyte sniper already.
