Make "Country of Origin" Mandatory. Please.

I thought at one time it was decided that the country of origin was
mandatory .. as part of the spam control.
I thought this was a fantastic idea now that we are Global as to
know where you are speaking to.
(So many cultures and taboos this also helps others not to unintentionally offend.)
When questions are asked from different parts of the world .. it
becomes hard to answer ... all regions are different in respect to retailers, laws
and RMA/Support help available.

This should, in my humble opinion, be mandatory.
What could possibly be the issue with that ?

I know there has also been talk of Verified User ..
this is also an excellent idea ...
through product registration ... not that you have to have an official
product to become a member ..
This way those that are researching a considered new buy could
ask member opinions ...

Personally I am very pleased with the direction the forum is taking in many
respects.
I know that many things are being worked on and are just on the horizon..
I believe these two items would do much to smooth the forum even
further ...

While I am on the subject of feedback...
a minor item ......... the forum signature is limited to 1000 characters. Why?
My current signature is at the limit because it contains three url links (internal forum links)
I had to shorten the title of the last and remove .... these>>> ( ------------- ) but I 'could' put
up a 750W X 400L image...a post only supports 650W....... silly really.... just say'n.....c.

I hear what you are saying Chris. The differences in peoples based on culture is huge, what I can say to you and not offend you is very different to what I can say to someone from a different cultural background.

not sure how it would be encoded but that is for the boffins to work on.

There was a 'thing' in the registration .. country of origin was required ..
and it was at least always in the 'about me' ..

or even answering .. say .. an RMA question ...
useless to say PM Mason ... in UK or Romania or Sweden or China ..

and 'heaven' forbid ... you make a joke ... that is harmless in the
US .. (gee, what isnt?) ... but yikes ...

Naaaaaaaa ... We just see them from about 3500 miles away from each other.
I see and mean this:

I see the forum as a Member based support clearing center ...
Where members help each other to learn, understand and better
the ROG experience.
A place where noobs and experts alike gather for a common goal and good.
I see a Global community that exists mostly blind to the worlds ills.
I see a place that only holds the best of intentions toward all that enter.

I see a place that sees the complaints last .. instead of first.
Where rage in RMA is common place without due cause.

Finally, I see a place where the misunderstanding of ones neighbor
bringing the world to the brink on a daily basis ... never happens.

Personally, as yourself, I intend to see it stays that way my brother.c.
