I have the BBK5 (Best Buy version) and wanted to know if the display is a 120Hz monitor. I can run Crysis 2 in 3D but does this mean that it is automatically changed to 120Hz ? Is it a 60Hz 3D ? Is 60Hz 3D real 3D, I mean, if I put on a pair of 3D glasses would I see everything in 3D or would it be weird because of not being 120Hz ? I just want to make sure before I buy the set of glasses.

No, Best Buy only offers the standard Full HD display, it's not 120Hz with Stereoscopic 3D. You will have to buy an external 120Hz monitor like the VG278 and output over the HDMI port to get Nvidia Stereoscopic 3D. 3D-capable models of the G75 and G55 already come with 3D glasses in the box.

Bought my G74SX-CSAT1-CBIL from them in Oct. last year and it has been flawless, absolutely flawless...as have the brilliant people on these forums at helping me get the thing humming perfectly.
One caution: once again ASUS (or Staples?) arre under-rating the G75's maximum memory capacity at 16GB here. I have never had a problem with the 32GB I stuffed into my G74, and I suspect that the G75 should be capable of this as well.

I'm really after a G55, but so far Scan and Ebuyer are still only listing G53's and G74's.

asuslaptop.co.uk are listing 1 model of G75 (with 3 memory size variants), but I've not found any others (apart from the usual american etc. imports)

Scan do have a G75 listed now, but only to pre-order with no eta yet showing. I have yet to find a G55 with a UK keyboard.

Amazon UK did have the g75 but then sold out in about a week, same model you mentioned above. If you want a g55 now look at amazon.de ( use chrome so it translates it) They ship to the UK for £11 and they will even convert the currency as they can see you have a UK amazon account. I was going to do this but then the g75 appeared over here.
