Their ftp site hasn't worked in a while for me. Which exact board do you have?

I'm just guessing as you really didn't add much detail to which one you had. But they are up to BIOS 3305 on both of those. I don't see anything beta, so this probably isn't much help for you. Thanks

    Asus ROG Maximus V Gene.
    Latest official BIOS is 0701.
I am having problems with voltage differences between the Fan headers, I searched the forum posts and a previous suggestion was BIOS 0810 which i now have loaded......

I'm looking for a newer BIOS to test to see if it helps with my problems........

The beta bios are more aimed at the very experienced user who are willing to risk their boards to test changes. Not advisable for most folks

    of course i understand that!

but i'm at the point of removing this motherboard and stress testing it with a hammer!!!!!!!

I'm just desperate to solve my problems (aren't we all!) so if i need to resort to beta BIOS's i'm willing to.

    can any one help?

I can honestly say that most beta bios do not deal with fan heads at all.

But hey if you want to try then be my guest http://hwbot.org/forum/showpost.php?...78&postcount=1

    Have fun

    thank you !

Its to do with voltages available at the fans headers...... they seem to vary a lot, i have read in other posts that this is possibly being fixed, along with an updated xpert fan2...... or maybe i was dreaming!!!!

I am sure that is the case - and I suspect you were not dreaming at all.

a quick question if i may ask HiVizMan,

im ok with updating the BIOS, well one of the main reasons for picking this board was its great update facilities....

what is the best way to preserve current BIOS settings? the OC Profiles get wiped out on install of new BIOS's.....

    thanks in advance!

Note, a newer BIOS, 0813, is now posted on the Asus website. This would be an official, non-beta, version. I loaded it yesterday on mine.
