Sitting at delete or enter screen for bios for awhile.

Im currently having an issue with my Rive, everything works fine except whenever on start-up when it load to the screen where u hit enter / delete to enter the bios it sits there for a couple of minutes, is there any way to make it faster?

Do you by any chance have some USB devices connected to your system, if so could you list them all.

    Hmm that is odd.

Please go into the bios and disable the SATA ports that you are not using. I assume you are using the Intel ports only?

OK Ive disabled the ports that im not currently using, it makes it so the bios screen only appears once, instead of twice, but its still taking like a min sitting at that screen before it enters the bios, or loads into windows

Could you please reflash your BIOS - to the same bios version that you are using now is fine. Just wonder if there is a bit of corrupted code or something like that which is causing the inordinately long delay.

Before you do begin the flash remember to F5 to restore defaults, and please also flash BIOS only using the EZFlash2 tool in BIOS.

It is just nuts. 60sec is a long time.

OK I will pull out my RIVE board and see what is my time

post what BIOS version and cpu you are using (if you have already done so forgive me not remembering)

ok i get the samething but only when i try a new oc with my ripjawsZ and the oc is not solid fails, and then when restarting system it takes a long time to access bios when it's stuk for a while in the red asus screen and it is due to the memory training differences the system is adjusting to safe defaults. So do u have ur memory timings off,did u play with it or did u play with oc of a cpu frequency? cuz it sounds like the system is trying to adopt to safe settings. especially i c that u have 32gb of memory i supose 4x8 which is tuff on imc,try 1 stik of ram and reset cmos and try with 1 stik of ram and see if theres any difference
