Are you sure that comes from punkbuster?
the best is to try it with an other game that BF3 who is using punkbuster to confirm the issue.
I am using the 2 molex adapter on a dedicated power source there is only the sound card.
Strangely, when we go on a non punkbuster server or whether you're playing solo on Bf3 or Skyrim, the game works flawlessly

I played on two different non-PB servers and I still got the intense video/audio stutter that I get in PB servers. I have tried reinstalling BF3 and PB and got no difference in the amount of stutter. I really hope they get this fixed as I don't want to have to return/RMA it.
It is weird because I can play singleplayer mode all day long and not get a single problem. I have played videos and audio all day long with no problems. The only time I get problems is when I play any online multiplayer game.
Also, when I disable the sound (with the Phoebus.exe still running) I still get the video/audio stutter just a lot less. However, when I disable sound and end Phoebus.exe in task manager I can play multiplayer online games smooth as butter all day long so my only conclusion is that the Phoebus driver is to blame (kind of a duh at this point).

It seems the crushing became less frequent after i installed new Catalyst Control Center 12.4
I already had 12.4 officials installed with latest CAPs. My graphics card audio is disabled in Device Manager too.
Also, I had a reply back from EvenBalance to submit kick message and GUID. Will post an update. So far the final-line of the log entry just says "Not Connected to a Server" when kicked with the looping audio.
How to find GUID (found via google):
Navigate to your pb folder
C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\PunkBuster\BC2\pb
Create/edit a file called pbcl.cfg in the pb folder
Add the following line to pbcl.cfg:
pb_logtofile 1
Save the file and join a PB enabled server. In the pb folder you should see pbcl.log
Open that file and find the line that says "PB Server assigned guid =" it will be a combination of numbers and letters, do not copy the whole thing, only copy the last 8 characters. That is your pb GUID.

Hi, are there any news from HQ? When can we expect a patch for the problem?
I need to make a decision soon: Keep the Xonar or give it back - ... and wait for further 6 months and hope it is stable then?
Cheers, Vilnir
