I have BF3 which runs fine on my G53S, but cannot get BF2 to even start. anyone had the same issue where the initial BF2 screen opens but then the program closes.
all the patches instaled?
did the bf2 instal got interupted under instalation like lappy go in to sleep mode or enny thing else? ( even screensaver modus )

Hi apologies for the delayed reply to your post. I have installed both 1.41 and 1.5 patches. However the game will still not run under compatibility mode xp 3 or under admin nor when i reduce the res to 800 x 600. Have tried also with anti virus and firewall disabled still no success. there are no error messages just a bit of screen flickering which then reverts to the normal desktop. can anyone else run BF2 on this laptop? i am trying to run it solo player and not online. Thanks for any assistance.
Have managed to fix it by amending the resolution setting in the video file for the game
