Error Code 53 + No POST + Endless reboot loop

    Hi everyone,

I will try to make it short. I bought a new maximus IV gene-z/gen3 yesterday form newegg. I installed everything in it and everything was working fine except that i had no POST at all and that the memory was running at 1333mhz. I tried to boost the voltage on my memory and i enabled the memory bandwith booster. Since that nothing works... The computer was doing a endless reboot loop and when I removed the RAM I got the error code 53 even with no memory sticks present. I tried clearing the CMOS, removed the CPU and resintalling everything and it worked once but i couldn't access BIOS and it gave me error code 78 - check ACPI. I reboot the computer and i still have this endless rebooting loop and still no POST. I searched on the forum and found someone having the same problem. it seems that he solved it by updating the BIOS.

Since i am not able to access BIOS, someone has an idea?

    Here's my components:

    I5 2500k
    Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB (2x 4GB), PC3-12800, DDR3-1600MHz
    EVGA 560ti
    ANTEC 750W PS HCG-750

    Thanks!

    Hello Nutscrak3r

Here is what you can do. Press the red button in the top right corner near to the DIMM slots. It is the memory GO button.

Once you have done that please enter the BIOS and F5 to reset defaults and the F10 to save these settings and exit.

I would suggest you spend some time browsing the Maximus sub-forum and have a read at the really excellent guides that are posted there. All are in the Sticky section. By doing that you will better understand all the many bios options that this board presents. It is a great bit of kit, but also a complex bit of kit.

If you wish to run your ram at their manufacturer rated speed and not at the Intel standard, you will need to enable the XMP profile or manually set the timings in the BIOS. The guides I am suggesting you read will help you work out how to do either one of those things.

If you get stuck or just want to make sure about something post here and we will be more than glad to help you.

Please remove all power from the motherboard, if it is in a case then remove the power cable from the PSU. Press power button to clear any residue current in the caps. Clear CMOS wait 20min and that should have allowed the CPU to have cleared any messed up DRAM training information that is causing your system to loop.

If you could post back once you have done this we can take it from there if needed.
