Just Bought my G7VW, Problem ALREADY. PLEASE HELP!

Let me preface this by letting you all know, im some what of a n00b.

I just bought my asus G7VW, started it up, everything was going well, it was a little slow at startup, but overall it was good. I used the asus live update feature to update feature to update the drivers, but all it did was hinder my computer. The graphics reverted to 1024x 260 or whatever it is, my usb mouse doesnt work anymore, and the resolution looks like crap.

IDK what happened, it doesnt seem to have done anything positive. Forgive me If i didn't provide enough info. I know that can be the first problem in resolving these issues.

I just wanted to get my laptop, remove all the bloatware, and update the drivers and play my copy of GTA IV and mod it and produce music. Any help would be AWESOME.

What model?

Go to the asus website and download the vga driver. People here will most likly post it.(i would but i can not load ig on my ipod)
Find the usb3.0 driver on the site also.

It sounds like drivers did not install correctly.

You could do a factory reinstall(f9 i beleave on boot screen)

thats my model to be specific. Ive tried the VGA one, im going to re try it and try the usb one too.

Specs seems to be close to mine.
Can you change the resolution in the nvidia control panel?
The 5400 drive would be why boot up was relitivly slow.

tried them both. Nothing worked. Im going to try the f9 trick you mentioned.

Be patient with the ASUS Factory Restore. It will reboot the system several times during the restore. If you interrupt it before completion, the restore will fail.

The Setup Wizard will be displayed and your laptop will be as it came right out of the box. Do some testing in this state BEFORE installing any programs or updating any drivers. Confirm your resolution settings and USB Mouse functionality. Make sure the touchpad is disabled (Fn-F9)if you are using the Mouse.

i did the f9 thing, and now my copmuter is done. what the hell? it kept shutting on and off now im looking at the normal start up screen for a standard copmuter. I wanted to just go back to the way i had it before. with this screen I click on the IE icon (because I have nothing else to work with) and it opens but nothing shows up. just the window. im on my dads laptop for now.

yes, via my dads craptop. fire fox works, it all seems to be working as a new copmuter would. this is very annoying as I had somethings i had downloaded and other things. can I get those back? also, did this remove all the bloatware my pc with?
