Cant get any OCs to stick

So every time i try to use one of the pre-made OCs (normal OC, or Gamers) the system wont post and i have to reset the bios and run only at stock. Im really new to OCing on a ASUS board, is there something im doing wrong?

Colin.pwns please mate spend some time reading the guides that are sticky at the top of this sub-forum. They will give you the back ground to better understand what you need to do. Once you have done that post back here if you are still unsure or have a couple of questions.

Attempted 'level up' on the lowest one, rebooted ok, but BSODed "page fault in non paged area' or whatever after about 5 min, running stock again now. Reading up more on the stickies, had just hoped that the pre-configured OCs would work smoothly, as im VERY new to OCing and have no clue what im doing lol

RAM - that is what is the problem based on those errors. And don't worry we all started out not having a clue. It is quite simple to take on board once you have the basics down.

With respect to the RAM crash, is that caused by the OC? or is there a flaw in one of my sticks, i ran memtest several times when i first did this build and it was ok, that being said i have no problem replacing it with a new kit if theres a flaw....

The key is to run memtest when your ram is overclocked.

First individual sticks, then once all have passed you run for individual ram slots.

Once all have passed then run the memtest with all your ram installed at the overclocked speed.

If you can confirm that has all been done then we take it from there....

Overclocking using the multiplier settings, and have a look at some youtube videos on how to overclock that chip. It's fairly simple once you understand what's needed.
