Well, you should be sure first if it's connected. Since, it was perhaps a storage disk (with no OS on it) from the beginning, nothing could happen if you disconnected it.

Just open your case and check if you see something HDD-like there... If you're not sure how a HDD should look like, just check google images for a picture - you perhaps should observe the back side of it, where the power and SATA connector is located

I'm sorry to say, zoran, that you didn't find it yet...

I f you have two SSDs and one HDD, in the Disk management you should see Disk0, Disk1 and Disk2. What you're seeing there are two disks and three partitions (perhaps the SSD which contains the OS, has a dedicated small partition for it).

If you have that 1TB HDD and it is not connected or accidentally disconnected, there is no way for your BIOS or OS to recognize it! That's why you have to check it with your eyes... of course, when you will have enough light for it...

okay I have checked out the case thorouhly.

    we have

2 ssd. 2 cables to MOBO and 2 cables to power
1 HDD 1 cable to MOBO and 1 to power

the cables running from the power are 5

    3 from from SSD/HDD
    2 from MOBO??

Im assuming the cables are in tact behind the casing wall.

Well I always thought the partition was the HHD do that means I have never seen the HDD since I bought it

Do you have an optical drive (CD/DVD/BlueRay) in your system? Just because, that should have power and SATA cables too... exactly the same as the SSDs/HDDs have... I just insist on this question to figure out if you have that 1TB HDD or not? If you have it, it would be absolutely no reason to buy a 500GB one...

Yes, it may happen that you never saw that 1TB HDD... are you sure that actually you bought your system with it?

And yes, usually a mobo has at least 2 cables from the power supply, a big one (24 pin, the main power) and a smaller one (4 or 8 pins, the CPU power).

Yes of course the dvd drive is right there ,Im assuming the dvd player has two cords ? the specs were my wish list but I can recal there were stock issues with one item, that must have been it.

Now I know this is not the right thread but just wanted to mention overcloking. My Mobo is still standard so I should take advantage of the extra power as you can never have enough with FSX. Any thoughts on that?

Well, check your receipt about your built! It should be there a list what was built in your system...

Yes, the DVD player has two cords too, a power one and a data cable. Just like the SSDs.

Overclocking (OC) is fun - however justifying it may be... well, pretty childish... There are some games which can benefit from OC, but I'm not sure that FSX is one of them... Checked it's requirements - your system is well beyond what that game needs!

So, my opinion is that you don't have to OC your system for FSX...

If you still want to OC, then you should get familiar with your BIOS first. Read guides, descriptions before you start - you can render your system useless if you're not careful enough. in this forum you can find a lot about OC'ing, even about your board and CPU (you could start with this: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...untry=&status=)

the all up cost with predator casing and 18' display was $1400 and I checked the empty boxes and no HDD.
About 20 mins from where I live in Bangkok there is I think the biggest pc outlet on the planet around 6 stories and 500 shops ranging from tiny repair stores to dept type outlets that would have most of the punters on these boards drooling..

Thanks to this forum I am no longer afraid of the inside of a pc casing.
