    Laptop Locking Up

I have a ROG G73SW. I bought it from Best Buy in November. I made the mistake of buying a refurbished one, but overall the rating for it were very high. It worked fantastically for 91 days. At that point it was out of warranty and it started having issues. First of all the DC adaptor came undone, which was a simple solder fix.

After this it worked fine for another few months. Then the screen just went blank. Worked fine one day, then nothing the next. Could boot into windows but got no visuals. We took it apart, checked all the cables, and it turned on fine. After this point its randomly just locked up in a game. The whole computer just freezes. Have to turn off the computer for a minute or two and it'll boot up fine. If you turn it back on right away there is no visuals. I've checked the cables again, tried updating drivers, nothing has seemed to fix it.

I am afraid of course that it is a larger hardware issue, but I don't really want to send it to Asus for like 3 months and end up being charged more than the laptop costs new to repair. Any ideas or suggestions on what to check?

I figure that it is possibly the video card failing, but am unsure if it could be motherboard or even RAM. Any suggestion would be fantastic.

Will do. Wasn't entirely sure where to put it, saw hardware so I figured I would start here.
