New to forum - G75 touchpad question

    Hey there everyone !

I just bought a g75vw-T1013v two days ago and i absolutely love it ;D
i had the left sound issues which i kinda sorted out by balancing the speakers.

just my little question is, is the touch pad meant to look like it has a plastic cover over it ? >.< or is it packaging plastic that i havent removed yet ? i can't figure out where to peel it off from and i dont want to break it if its how the touchpad is >.<

    Thanks !

It is just a thin film plastic overlay that you pull off from one corner ...

I use an external mouse so I have my touchpad set to be disabled when OS sees another external pointing device available.

Yup, just a piece of plastic. Which is funny, because the demo unit at the Best Buy where I bought mine still has the plastic on the touchpad. I knew that looked weird. Definitely get yourself a mouse. I just got a Logitech G700 and loving it - Not as much as my R.A.T. 7, but I wasn't willing to fork over $130 for the wireless R.A.T. 9. I really miss the pinky rest tho.
