A few days ago, I decided to download and flash my BIOS to 1402...it says "improve stability"...who doesn't want that?
Anyway, soon after the BIOS flash. I was in Windows and listening to some music through WinAmp, but my system rebooted so fast I couldn't see what the BSOD problem was.....that is, until I re-enabled PageFile back onto my SSD and I caught another BSOD with the error "Memory_Management". So, before coming here to inquire about it I decided to Google the error message and it came up with an old thread on some Forum. I was a little worried that on the first couple of posts that my RAM may have been the potential problem, but then I read down further in the posts and discovered the root of the problem......the Creative X-Fi II Drivers were the culprit. I was a little surprised by this, considering my audio drivers are up to date through the ASUS d/l website. Though I can confirm this is the case, as the BSOD only happened when I was playing my music.
This only occurred due to flashing to BIOS 1402, so I think there is some kind of clash going on between this revison of the BIOS and the on board sound.
I cannot try any suggestions to correct the problem as my BIOS is currently bricked...and when i get it going again im putting my Xonar Phoebus into my rig and using that lol
