Did you clear Cmos? ... cuz nowhere in your posts did i see it mentioned or done.

In a situation like this you need to do process of elimination. You have tried to sets of Ram, no go. You tried updating bios, still no go.
    Next step clear c'mos.

Your unable to get into Bios without a Ram error, very questionable. I use Mushkin Redline 1866 mhz (4X4 Gb = 16b) And no problems on my ROG Crosshair V. In fact, I overclocked it to 1866 on my first try and im new to OC'ing. Sadly, no one on these boards use anything other than Corsair Brand or G.skill Ripjaws, and ive never seen soo many complaints about defective ram on forums as I do on these ROG boards =p

So maybe pick up a cheap pack of reliable DDR Ram, I recommend Mushkin Black line. It has yet to fail on me on ALL my builds. The Redline I just bought 2 months ago and smooth sailing so far on my Gaming Rig..

Not trying to sound like a fanboy, just offering my two sense of my experience with Ram and particularly Mushkin black and Redline.

"Please enter setup to recover BIOS."
"USB Device Over Current Status Detected !! "
"System will shutdown in 15 seconds"

    ps :
while it was posting i could see that it recognised the CPU i7 3770k and full 16gb Mem, and still gave this error..

also removed all RAM and tryed with only 1x stick of 4GB
    same result !!

    any sugestions?

    thx in advance
I have a similar problem with Maximus IV Gene-Z with 55 not detect but happened after flashing from 3305 to 3402 bios http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...emory-clocking. Before flashing had no problems. Using 3570K cpu
