    Having issues, Please help.

    Hello,
I recently built my new system and since the beginning I have had nothing but problems with my USB external devices and USB 3 external devices working correctly. I have 5 different USB 3 HDD and the issue I am having is they recognize for about 5 minutes then it is a never ending drop and refresh for the drives. It recently started beeping after the 5th re-recognize of the drives.

My BIOS is 1402 and I have all the latest device drivers from the manufacturers of my products.

Please help I am stuck on this one.

    Thank you,
    Josh

Will I have any issues going back to 1303? I have read people having issues and having to buy another bios for their board.

Sorry just want to know the facts
    Josh

Not that I know of but then I'm using a Crosshair IV Formula... There's Myk that had to buy a new BIOS because of 1402 bricking his machine. Hopefully one of the other folks that have the CHVF will be answering soon for you.

Well if the BIOS or reloading the Driver didn't help then it might just be a problem with the Board....I would contact Asus for a possible RMA. That board uses the Asmedia chip for USB3. I do know on the New Version of the CHVF-Z it does away with the Asmedia chip completely. That alone tells me they are having trouble with them.

    DaemonCantor,
Do you happen to know when the CHVF-Z will be coming out? if it's out where can I get it. Sorry I have not done alot of research into the ASUS motherboards and am unsure were to look anymore.

Also is the CH V Formula/Thunderbolt worth the extra money?

From what MarshallR stated, between now and September...I just hope that the Designers deemed it worthy of the new Chipset 1090's which is what the 990's was to be if hey didn't rush them into production early....

I had the very same problem with my first Crosshair V board and I sent it back for RMA. I have a second Crosshair V board that I am using and my USB 3.0 work fine on it. Hopefully I will get the other board back soon as I have heard that ASUS RMA is not the fastest in the world. They recieved my borad on the 5th of this month and when I type in my RMA number the web site does not even list the RMA????????????. I know the RMA number is correct, I copied and pasted it from the ASUS email
