    Not all memory detected

Hello, I have p9x79 mb and 8 sticks of Goodram DDR3-1600 4096MB PC3-12800 (GR1600D364L11/4G). The problem is at stock speed I have only 24 gb available, but at 800 hz i get all the 32 gigs. The funny thing is, the more I increase the frequency, the less memory is being detected. I tried raising voltages, updating bios, messing around with timings, to no avail. Also, this memory isn't officially qualified, so is this the end, or something can be done?

Welcome, Serge, to the ROG forum!

Even if a memory kit isn't on the QVL or isn't suggested by the manufacturer, it could work... - with proper settings... but you will have to find these "proper settings"

Specially the x79 platform is very picky with the memories... If I would be you, I would get a kit from the QVL...

How you're checking the memory's frequencies? Are you using CPU-Z? just because CPU-Z shows only half of the frequency.... - then 800MHz would be actually 1600MHz...

You have all your memory available I am sure. And ZKa has it correct, CPUz will show half the actual speed. 800 is indeed 1600MHz.

I would advise giving a bit more voltage to the IMC. Often when using large amount of RAM you need to compromise on speed or quantity. By default the IMC is meant to run at 1333Mhz, so technically 1600Mhz is an overclock over standard specification.
