Maximus Iv extreme-z post error F2/2E

Yesterday I bought that awesome board with the i7-3770k ivy bridge and 16 gigs of corsair ram 1600mhz (4x4)
and I have 400 watt psu (buying a new 800 watt soon) and the Gtx 470 (corsair H100 cooling)

when I started the board for the first time it only have the psu gtx470 core and ram pluged in (normal right?)

and an error code appeared on the debugging led's. It was F2 I restarded a few times and then it showed 2E

I left it runing on 2E for half an hour (config so I thought it takes time)

The board was frozen so I restarted And then F2 appeard again...

Cleard Cmos,Reseted the board(took the battery out for 15 sec) and reseted overclock (even that I didn't do any)

and now every time I boot its stuck on F2 and I gave It like 6-7 hours to be on F2
"Recovery Progress Codes F2 - Recovery process started"

its a progress So I gave it time... alot of time.....

    can someome help me please?

Hi there, and welcome to the forum, sorry to say,but your cpu is not supported on the board without the latest 3### series bios, but you are in luck, there is a workaround, follow my instructions in the thread below.

Here is the port you need to use.

    Hey fax2u,

I would stop trying anything until you can get a bigger PSU... 400W is way less than you would need for that config...

Good point,i would wait till you have the 800w PSU you said you have ordered and go from there.

Error 58..........CPU self test failed...or possible CPU cache error,, hmmm, dont see that one very often, any chance you can have a look at the CPU socket, maybe some bent pins, just a thought.
