I am trying to forward some ports, 2300-2400 and 47624 for a game I am trying to host. The game listens on 2300 for incoming connections and may use the other ports once connected. It's not a problem with this particular game because none of my programs requiring forwarding are working.
I know how to forward ports - I have no problem doing so with my PC. Something in my windows (or perhaps the g74 drivers?) is blocking the ports... and I can't figure it out. I have the windows firewall completely turned off. I have no other firewall software running.
Trying to forward here on my Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS:
Here's my security screen:
Here's netstat -a:
I see a potential issue there. You can see port 2300 listening on 0.0.0.0 - but it's not listening on my LAN IP which is 192.168.1.121
Another thing I found is that my laptop for my wired etherent connection shows up as * in my router host list, while my wireless is my computer name like this:
I've tried disabling the wireless, restarting, assigning a static IP, turning on the firewall and allowing exceptions, everything!
Please help... i'm really at a complete loss.
