Issues with onboard audio and Intel nic. - RMA?

Few weeks ago my onboard audio just completely stop working. After following the guide on here how to install the drivers to fxissues with it and got nothing. I did a format just to see if it would correct anything that might have been messed up. I have tried the drivers from asus and the recent drivers from Realtek (also installing creative drivers with it) . Analog ports never see my logitech speakers nor anything I plug into the front panel. I've tried re-installing the drivers I don't know how many times. My speakers work and so do my headphones, I know because my friend let me borrow his thunderbolt card a few days ago. Not sure how any of this died but thats the only logical thing I can think of. My intel nic has started to drag alot. What I mean is I boot into windows and have zero internet connection for 4-6 minutes until it connects. It does this with asus drivers and the latest intel ones.
I'm just frustrated /rant.. is there anything I'm missing?

I'm thinking a 357 with hollow points might be appropriate at this point!
    Definitely RMA time !

Part of this was being discussed by others on a different thread but I guess we can post some of it here. The Intel NIC and connection Draging is what was being discussed. Myk should remember the thread because I can't...One person found that the Length of his Cable was a problem for some stupid reason and he shortened the line and it started to work. I on the other hand have had the same trouble as you with the NIC but the only solution I found was to Stop Steam from loading on Boot and rearrange the Driver Loading so that the NIC Drivers were one of the First to Load. my Stall Time Dropped down to a Still Unacceptable 1 to 2 minutes but it was a lot better because it's not every boot that it does this now. My personal thought is it's something to do with Windows 7 TCP/IP Stack and the way it starts up.

Yeah mate, I recall the thread perfectly and here's something that is going to totally piss you off. My Wireless Adapter(Netgear WNA3100) was really starting to aggravate me, it was constantly dropping out. So, I decided to grab my 5m CAT 5 cable..it was only *just* able to make it from the back of my PC to the router....and was dangerous because it could have caused me to trip. Anyways, to cut a long story short...for some stupid reason I thought it was a 15m Cable....so I went to local PC Shop and bought myself a 20m to replace what I thought was a 15m cable.....every time I boot my Rig, i'm online within seconds of loading Windows 7, currently using the driver from the install DVD....still using the 20m cable.

No that doesn't upset me in the least...GRRR...JKLFHJGHDU##%$@#...Not at all...I'm also using the Driver from the CD and haven't stopped long enough to try and update that ... But I did notice the problem with mine started soon after Steam got loaded onto the system but the I also loaded MS Visual Studio 2010 at the same time...

I haven't messed around with any of the V.Studios in a long time...but doesn't Steam only attempt to go online when a connection is detected?

Yea and that's the strange thing because when it messes up Steam Fail to log in and I have to do it manually after I get a connection... also VS doesn't do anything I can see to the NIC ether but it does load a lot of dot net stuff who the heck knows for sure with MS these days.

Sounds like there might be some kind of DHCP conflicts going on, for both you and the OP.

Depending on your Routers, you both may need to flash the firmware on them
