    P8Z77-V Deluxe & Corsair 16GB RAM

    Hello,

Recently I got a new pc.
    I went for a P8Z77-V Deluxe, Intel i7-3770k, Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 and 2x evga 670 FTW's.

    When I ran a 3dmark11 test I noticed my score was about 2.5 - 3k below average.

I also saw my ram was running @ 667 Mhz.

Since my mobo and ram should both support 1600 Mhz I was a bit surprised.

I checked the bios settings and changed the ram settings to XMP.
Cpu-z is showing dram frequency of 800 Mhz and spd max bandwidth of 667 Mhz.
3dmark11 is still showing it @ 667 Mhz.

    Is this normal?

And what about the below average result with 3dmark?

    Any help would be appreciated!

If CPUz is showing your frequency at 800MHz then your ram is running spot on.

As to your 3DMark score - how do you determine what is average? Most of the results posted on the orb are from overclocked systems my friend.
