I just put together a new build with the z77 Premium. I am using a Crucial SSD as my boot drive, and have a WD Caviar Black as a programs drive, and a samsung Spinpoint for storage. Can I use the onboard ssd of the Premium to cache the WD ??

Hey Bikeman I think U need to recheck those reference cause as far as I now, SSD Caching for those two spin harddrive can be done by been connected to the Marvell controller alone with SSD. In other words he have to connect the 2 spin drives on the light blue ports alone with the SSD set the Bios on Raid on the Marvell controller have it enable and he should be good to go, any moderator can correct me or collaborate on anything that I miss, Cheers, Oh by the way.

Need to use the Intel Smart Response utility with the hard drives connected to the Intel SATA ports for mSATA caching.
Thx for the help, forgot to post back.... I had to reinstall the OS and got it setup with raid and using the Intel SRT
Works great.
