rampage iv gene. code 01... cannot get into uefi

    Hello,

My system had been working ok at stock, getting any type of overclock to be stable has been a battle. I cant get into uefi now, and it seems to stop at code 01. Cpu is a 3820 btw. Any way to get into uefi? The voltage has never been higher than 1.356, and temps never even hit 70, so I doubt I fried the chip.

    Thanks,

    Urillusion

Well if you have a 3820 and you are running at stock and your temps are 70'c my friend you should not even think of overclocking. The first thing I would do is check my CPU cooler. Actually I would replace it.

Maybe I have not understood what you are asking, but my advice is use the clear CMOS option to reset to factory defaults and start again. The guides that can be found in the Rampage Sub forum are a very good place to start.

    Hello again HiVizMan!

It finally just decided to work again. I had pressed the clear CMOS button quite a few times, but it did not seem to work. I am running fine at stock at the moment.

I have had the CPU up t0 4800 and only saw 66c with an h100, which seems good.

I seem to be having such a hard time getting this rig stable, but I guess it could be any number of things. I can run okay @ 100X43 and 1866, but I keep crashing @ 105x43 and 1952. I'm guessing the RAM can't handle it even with loose timings.

I am also having trouble at 125x37 which I wasn't originally. The CPU seems to be getting less voltage that manually entered. I enter 1.35v and IT actually runs at 1.322, and crashes during stress testing. I have read all the guides here, and I still am having trouble.

Good news is I figured out how to use all the power saving features, and that the offset will not work with bclk straps other than 100.

    Thanks again HiVisMan!

No stress buddy. Here is what I would do. Keep your memory at 1866MHz that is a sweet frequency for ram in any case. To manage the crashes during stress testing play with the different LLC settings.

Just keep an eye on your temps please.
