    Rampage IV+Sound (DTS) Problems

    Hi

    I am usind an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme ( Intel X79) mainboard. I also have a Teufel Decoderstation 5 with a optical connection to my board. Audio drivers are currently (6.0.1.6499).

    The problem is now:
    When I open the manager, I don't see any DTS settings. With my old motherboard ((GB P35DQ6)), I could make these settings. Plz see attached pics.

    Old (GB):

    ASUS Rampage IV:

    The standard format includes only two channels. What I am doing wrong? Is this just a driver problem or a problem of the mainboard?

    Thx

    PS: BIOS V. 2003

    EDIT:

    PPS: I can't answere anymore ==> Database Error. What's going on/wrong?

    Hi

    I tried almost every driver that is available.==> nothing is working (only stereo) The question is now:

    Does the onboard-chip (Realtek® ALC898 7.1-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC ) support DTS at all?

    Sorry I am not an audiophile. But to my understanding that SPDIF optical out to your decorder. Isn't the job for it to have DTS? Sorry just my thought. I also want to know more audio stuff.
    Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.
