how to downgrade from 2002 bios on sabertooth x79

I have a hackintosh w / osx lion running on sabertooth x79 bios 1104 - runs *perfectly* I reboot every few months.

I am attempting (failing miserably) to replicate this machine for my girlfriend, a pro animator. I upgraded the bios to 2002 (the .cap from .rom) and the problems started.

It only boots every second or third time, won't make it through a full osx install. Won't recognise my corsair dominator 1600 mhz ram as anythign but 1300 mhz.

I've tried to downgrade to an older bios from the ezflash utility in bios, won't let me. Ditto, for bupdater

Any ideas? I'm at my wit's end.

This bios is clearly rubbish, and I need to get rid of it to make my machine stable.

    Please help :-)

I think the downgrade method works from BIOS 2003 and best to do it via http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...untry=&status=

Maybe update to 2003 and then
