Worked back and ended up having a few too many bourbons and forgot about picking me CPU up ...(sad) ,
Pick it up monday now ...still sad .

Just booted up the new PC and everthing seemed to run alright except for no display ... tried with the vga cable and also hdmi , no luck.
am using just a cheap 2gig graphics card at the moment to set up everything till i can afford a couple of high end cards,
tried placing gpu in different slots but still no go .

Browsed forums and seen there a few others with same issue , but haven't seen any Solutions.

does the cpu light stay lit on the motherboard if so check your bios version on on a sticker near the 24 pin power connection on the board it will be the last 4 digits if it before 802 then you need to update the bios with a am3 chip.

Yes the CPU light stays lit and the last for numbers are lower than the one you stated.
So how do i update the bios with an am3 chip ?

do you have a older am3 phenom ii cpu that is a am3 if u do put it in and go to http://support.asus.com/download.asp...fy5ioh5wbNOXsP and down load the 1503 bios and unzip it to a usb stick make sure the usb stick is formatted in fat 32. then go into the bios then tools and ez flash and flash your bios.
