    Maximus V Formula/ThunderFX

The Maximus V Formula motherboard has several innovations that make it a good all around board. Not just another Z77 board, this model sports built in bluetooth and wi fi, as well as an attempt at isolating the big sound capacitors, putting it in competition with both wi fi and hi fi boards. 3 PCIe are available as is a USB 3.0 header, and 4 DIMM slots: Pretty much standard for mid to high Z77 offerings. The thunder FX module is a compelling add on, but I would like to see a front panel audio bay. 1/4 inch jacks for real headphones and instrument cables to connect to. The fusion cooling blocks? This is compromise, no doubt, but it's smart looking and a good gateway from air to water.
