ASUS Releases the GeForce GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II TOP

As Nvidia launches its new GeForce GTX 660 Ti cards today, ASUS has also launched a few versions of its own; notably with DirectCU II dual-slot cooling and TOP pre-overclocked cards. For EU markets there’s also a Boarderlands 2 bundle to keep an eye-out for!

ASUS Releases the GeForce® GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II TOP

Sweet spot graphics cards get powered up with titanium-strong overclocking, cooling, and stability in even the most demanding games

Taipei, Taiwan (August 16, 2012) ― the ASUS TOP range of graphics cards continues to grow, expanding to the newly-unveiled ASUS GeForce® GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II TOP. Utilizing the latest 28nm technology from NVIDIA®, the card offers customers a superior balance of features, performance, and affordability. It ships factory-overclocked with its boost clock mode set to 1137MHz, and includes the 20% cooler DirectCU thermal design. ASUS DIGI+ VRM and Super Alloy Power provide more room for overclocking on a long-lifespan, increased-stability product, and GPU Tweak harnesses capabilities via a user-friendly tuning interface.

TOP overclocked for extra performance from the get go

Thanks to meticulous testing by ASUS engineers, the 2GB GDDR5-equipped GeForce® GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II TOP uses the most durable and efficient GK104-derived 28nm GPUs. These can sustain higher clock speeds, and therefore come with their boost clock factory-set to 1137MHz on the core, 157MHz faster than reference. Customers once more gain extra performance by default, plus access to a card with overall greater performance tuning potential.

Runs 20% cooler, vastly quieter, and precision-powered

Exclusive ASUS graphics card technologies improve product performance and endurance beyond reference parameters. DirectCU entails a custom cooler that uses direct contact copper heatpipes for faster heat transduction, leading to 20% lower temperatures. The optimized fans can thus work at lower speeds, offering a vastly quieter gaming environment compared to stock products. For enhanced stability, energy efficiency, and overclocking margins, ASUS DIGI+ VRM guarantees precision digital power delivery, while six-phase Super Alloy Power components (capacitors, chokes, and MOSFETs) extend product lifespan and durability while operating noise-free even under heavy workloads. All of these result in a high performance product that assures smooth gaming at all times.

GPU Tweak gives the GTX 660 Ti tuning power

Proprietary ASUS graphics card overclocking, overvolting, and management utility GPU Tweak returns. It arrives on the GeForce® GTX 660 Ti DirectCU II TOP with its user-friendly interface and multi-mode performance modification facilities. Customers can easily change clock speeds and voltages, while setting up dedicated profiles for favorite games.

It's an ideal candidate for SLi, I'll be doing some in house bench tests for the YouTube side of things!
