    Left 4 Dead

I'm new to the whole PC gaming thing... I usually do console gaming but I got the G74SX-NH71 series when it was the newest model at the time and I originally wanted it just for it's impressive performance. But now I kind of want to utilize what it was built for and play some games on it. I don't do online RPGs like WoW and stuff but I'd like to try a game like Left 4 Dead seeing as I've played it before on Xbox. I own a PS3 so I can't play my favorite Xbox game lol hence why I wanted it for my computer. But anyway... before I ramble even more... I wanted to know if that's a good game to start with and if someone could point me in the right direction for PC gaming controllers I'd be much obliged. Thank you in advance!

As long as you have people you like to play with I think L4D is a fun game. PUGs can be fun or they can be nightmares if you get idiots for teammates

One other option to consider would be TF2 on Steam if you like Valve games. It's free so if you don't like it you won't waste any money.

As for controllers I think a lot of people like the XBOX360 controller for their PCs. Personally I'm a keyboard and mouse guy.

If your thinking of the original L4D I wouldn't bother buying that. Instead I would go for L4D2 due to the fact they released all of the original maps and campaigns from L4d1.

I have both L4D games and while I play both I prefer the original.

I too have both L4D1 & 2, though I prefer the movement style of 2 versus 1. I've logged in approx: 700+ hours in L4D2 and about 250+ hours in L4D1. The only issue I have is people sometimes tend to wreck your game by joining up then killing you and your team, then runs off. Other than that, its my favorite MMO so far.
