    Rampage IV Formula Busted?????

This morning I woke up to find my computer unresponsive. Whenever I boot it goes through the POST just fine but when it reaches the Windows load screen I get a BSOD for hardware (0000009c). So I decided to go through the steps I know to troubleshoot and searched online for others.

    - Deoverclocked
    - Cleared CMOS
    - Unplugged all USB devices
    - Unplugged all SATA devices and booted off of USB stick
    - Switched Video cards and PCI-E slots
    - Unplugged all USB headers
    - Tested my RAM one stick at a time

All with no luck. My board gives me AE code. Could it be my CPU or do you think it's my Mobo? Any other suggestions would be nice.

"AE" may be from high BCLK setting than CPU can afford. Avoid setting BCLK from it range more than 7MHz. (Not exceed 107MHz BCLK or 132MHz BCLK not all CPU support that)

Once you cleared the CMOS I do hope you went back into OS and set RAID as your SATA mode.

Yup, I reset my sata to raid and it still doesn't boot. I've come to the conclusion that either every stick of ram is busted or the mobo is busted.

Use memtest86+ to see if your ram is the problem. The guide if needed is in my sig.

Troubleshooted some more. BIOS recognizes the RAM @ 1600MHz and the CPU so those to are working fine. I disabled all the hardware devices onboard (LAN, ASMedia, USB, Audio) and still nothing. When I try to boot into safe mode it gets to the driver classpnp.sys. A number of people have had this problem and there were a number of fixes (enable IDE vs AHCI, change gpus, change ssd or hdds, replace mobo) all of which I have done except the mobo one. Very frustrating.

Unfortunately I don't have another rig to do the memtest. I think I will get some cheapo ram and test it out today.

Whoops, just noticed I just need a thumb drive for memtest. I'll give that a shot.

So I tried the memtest on two different thumb drives but neither would load on my busted computer nor on my laptop.

For running Memtest86+ from a thumb drive, you have to boot from that thumb drive... be careful, if you disabled the USB before, it won't find the thumb drive...

I pressed f8 and selected the thumb drive. I also tried going through the bios and both failed.
