    ATI card and Motherboard ?

    Hi,

will this Saphire ATI Radeon HD 6870 PCI Express 2.1x16 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card HDMI 900MHz fit my ASUS P5Q DELUXE motherboard ok ? My currrent card is an HD 4800.

    I have a 700 watt power supply , using windows 7 x64 with 6gig memory.

Is it a reasonably good upgrade from my present card ?

Many thanks, I am no expert and appreciate your time and answers

    Hi mate,

Good to go, considering the price are falling. The perfotmances for 6870 will sure be better off than 4800. 700w more than enough.

You may also consider the 7850.

    Cheers.

Yes it will be fine, as to your PSU it really does depend on how old your PSU is. There are many kinds of PSU's that claim to be 700W or even higher but some of them I would not use if you paid me. So the watts are helpful but more important is the age and the brand.
