Grab The ASUS GeForce GTX 660 Ti BIOS Update For ++Performance

Are you a proud owner of a brand spanking new ASUS GeForce GTX 660 Ti (either standard, OC or TOP)? Is so, then this is a heads up to grab the latest BIOS update available from the ASUS product pages, which gives a free boost to overall performance.

New ASUS GeForce GTX 660 Ti BIOS Versions:

    Standard: 80.04.4B.00.AS08: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/N...2GD5/#download
    OC: 80.04.4B.00.AS09: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/N...60_TIDC2O2GD5/
    TOP: 80.04.4B.00.AS06T: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/N...60_TIDC2T2GD5/

Simply run the provided Nvidia Firmware update utility, and press 'y' when prompted. It's strongly recommended to remove any system overclock or potential system instability beforehand as all BIOS updating requires a minute or two of error free PC time.

While it greatly depends on your system, ASUS has measured the typical 3DMark11 performance boost to be approximately +3-8%

    OLD BIOS NEW BIOS BOOST%
    GTX660 TI-DC2T-2GD5 P8767 P9249 +5%
    GTX660 TI-DC2O-2GD5 P8193 P8847 +8%
    GTX660 TI-DC2-2GD5 P7925 P8195 +3%

Seems it took quite a bit of poking, but it seems now Asus released the 2 slot 4GB 680. Took quite a bit of time, sadly with the 7 series right down the road, but the suggestions helped. Great input and concerns all!

I really feel disappoint with ASUS, cause the GTX670 DC2 T came out I bought (2) of them and ever since asus nor Nvidia have put no interest in solve a lot of issues that the card had at the begging of show and instead of improve this card and give all the support that deserve they decide to come out with new 660. instead they decide to stop producing the 670. That's foul play for both company toward the customers

I have the standard 660TI(TI-DC2-2GD5) and since my card is a good overclocker and stable at 1228mhz core and 6800mhz memory I was wondering if it's possible and safe to flash the BIOS with the "TOP"(TI-DC2T-2GD5) version?

Yes, I've done this already and my cards, and I, are very happy.
