Hello,
There is a problem with rampage IV mobo(s). When I connect 4 pin PWM fan to the OPT_FAN1 connector i cannot controll RPM. Mo matter whan i set in bios it still runs full RPM. I connect the same fan to any other connector (for example OPT_FAN2 or CHA_FAN1) and it controlls through bios perfectly so its no the fan. I ve replaced the mobo for another one and this one has the same issue... Any idea whats wrong ?

I've had the exact same problem as you, replacement did not correct issue.

I just gave up and used a different header.

Hopefully they can do a bios fix.

I found that running Duty Mode is the best way to control fan speed on OPT_FAN 1. Using 50% for me works great. However, I use Duty Mode for all three OPT fan headers and I think that might be the key to controlling all the fans correctly.
