Not sure if this is the right section of the forums, I apologies in advance if this isn't the correct section. I've been looking for a few answers to my questions which I couldn't find online, probably didn't look hard enough.

Here are the questions;

1. I recently bought my first laptop ( ASUS G75VW, 3rd gen i7, gtx 660m, 12gb ram ) I wanted the 670m on this model, but how much of a difference is it really? would it be worth the upgrade?

2. How do I back up my C Drive/ OS, I have windows 8 which I am not so exicited about, I want to install windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

3. How was your day? 🙂

Hi, welcome to the forum, If you want to keep your Windows 8, I can help you to make it more like Windows 7, pirated OS, well it's not tolerate to talk about this here and for good reasons. If you want Windows you can get an OEM legal disk for $ 100 , you probably have no need for Ultimate.

What do you mean more like Windows7?, I want to play a few games that aren't comparability with w8's yet.

They will likely run anyway. Which ones? Try setting compatibility mode for the game and see if that helps. Right-click on the shortcut or the .exe, and select "Properties" Click on the "Compatibility" tab and select "Windows 7" from the drop-down box.

I second Zygomorphic with his question, what games? I run several that I played with Win 7 perfectly. I think you'll find a quick google search can confirm this, but I was led to believe that nearly all games that can run on Windows 7 work fine on 8.

1) Possibly, it is faster by a noticeable amount, but it is also hotter and noisier. Depends on whether you want silence (for better acoustics) or performance (for better shoot-stics :cool:)

2) Torrenting is illegal, hence your post being edited.

3) Good, thank you! 🙂

ps torrenting is not illegal, some content may be but the use of torrents is not. some major game companies even use it to distribute their demos
Asus G75VW-BBK , 24GB , 2x256GB SSD , everything else stock

That is correct, similar to fast cars (like Mustangs - starting muscle-car flame-war here...:cool:) are not illegal, but driving them too fast (speeding) is. LINUX (FLOSS) vendors often use it too, because it reduces the costs. You know what, ASUS uses torrenting to distribute drivers as well. 🙂
