Unhappy Rampage III Gene, Cool Boot Problem

Hi, this is my first post

I bought this motherboard around 2 weeks, and I have a 'Cool boot' problem, when I boot on the computer and go into a game, 5 min later the pc starts to freeze, video and audio, and keyboard doesn't responds well.

But when I reboot, the computer goes perfect and I have no more problems until the next cool boot.

I hope someone can help me.. I don't know if it's a PSU problem or a Motherboard / Voltage / Ram problem

Sorry for my english and thanks

    My computer:
    Asus Rampage III Gene
    Intel i7-960 @ 3.2
    Corsair TX850 V2
    3x4gb G.Skill Ripjaws 1333

Can you check Event Viewer in Windows to see if there is any error reporting during the freezes please?

Is it after a full boot or the fact that it is physically cooler? If you haven't already you may want to shut it down after it's been running for a while and immediately start it back up.

Also, you may want to try running memtest86 after a cold boot to see if any memory errors pop up.

It's after a while, it starts with usb problems (keyboard doesn't responds), later the audio and video freeze a lot of times, may be the PSU??
I don't know if Everest is wrong but...

    Voltage Values
    CPU Core 1.18 V
    Aux 3.46 V
    +3.3 V 3.33 V
    +5 V 5.54 V
    +12 V 12.71 V
    -5 V -1.28 V
    Puesta en espera +5 V 5.19 V
    VBAT Battery 0.91 V

I don't like so much that -1.28 V, I ran memtest64 two days ago and not problem.

    Thanks for reply ^^

When you ran memtest was it after a reboot or just after a cold boot? You might get different results immediately after a cold boot.

    Hi Wynk,

What BIOS version are you running?

Sorry for the delay, I had to RMA the whole pc to see what is wrong, the psu were making some strange sound... Now only I can wait
I updated the bios to 0805 when I started to have the problems.

    Thanks

I had a similar problem a while back , after a few mins in a game the whole pc froze and i had to hard reset it, later i found the problem was a defective PCIe slot which i had my graphics card on, i changed slot and the problem was solved. From what i understood for some reason the 2 fans that sped up during high usage caused the card to slightly vibrate and move out of place causing the pc to freeze.

    Hope it helps
