G74sx Motherboard/LCD Replacement Help

Main Questions (If you don't like long post, otherwise read the Details as well):
1) Are all the G74 motherboards, between all the models alike? (ex I cud swap the A1 MB and DH73 MB and it would work fine.)
2) Can I install a 120Hz LCD on a Laptop with a 60Hz LCD (Like install a DH73 screen on the A1 variant) and vice verse?

Details:
I am asking these questions because I would like to buy some replacement parts for my G74sx that I bought about 10 months ago w/o warranty (since I got it off eBay) and I am trying to make it last another 2-3 years (enough for college). I have already disassembled my G74sx once to replace the thermal paste and re-ground the sporadic Sentelic TP so opening it up isn't going to be a problem. The Motherboard is the onyl component I would have to worry about replacing since the G74 is discontinued. I would like to buy a replacement board in case I fry my GTX 560 since that is the only thing I cannot swap out if it were damaged. Since the G74 was discontinued not too long ago, there are lots of repalcement parts on eBay. The problem is that I currently have a G74 with a 120Hz screen since it is the 3d variant. I want to know if there is anything special about the motherboard for the 3D variant vs a non 3D G74 variant like the A1. I am asking because I would not want to purchase a replaceable G74 motherboard found from a non 3D model and realizing that my 120Hz screen is incompatible with the motherboard. I feel like its a stupid question since I would assume that all G74 motherboards are the same and that all the components would work fine. Then the only difference would be the extra drivers you would install for a 3D application to work.

You can install a 120hz screen but you wont have 3d , also im not sure if the 3d socket and normal is the same.

I see. But how about the motherboard? Based on the responses I'm guessing I'll have to take my cahnces and try it out and report the results for anyone else wanting to keep their G74sx maintained beyond its warranty.

Sorry that I couldnt read your post correctly at first.
I can say all mobo's are 100% similar except the 3D versions. The 3d version has a different LCD connector where a standard one hold 40pins but 3D holds 50pins.
Also its useless buying a spare mobo if its out of warranty and your laptop is broken just sell it and put that money on a new laptop not worth when seeing the price of the mobo . Also once a month use canned air to clean the vents , check the temps if you got issues before it becomes a major problem. If you use it at one place or dont move regularly you can remove the battery and use it with direct current because if the battery hangs in there for long time all ways stuck at 100% it starts to degrade performance .
Dont worry this would be good for 2 years., unless it faces any accidents or water damage.
hope that helps , if you have furthermore questions please feel free to ask.

Alright then. Thank You for the help evga. I saw that the MoBo's were around 200-300 bucks each. I could just save up and help pay for any of the new G series laptops in the future like the G77 or something.
