Windows 8 Explorer Error

Carnaged
Level 8
Recently I have been having some problems when doing seeminly random things I keep getting Explorer.exe crashes. I have reinstalled Winodws 8 but I am still have the random crashes. The last one was when I pressed personalise on the desktop to change my desktop background for example. It crashes and then comes straight back up.

My machine is not overclocked I have also ran Furmark and Prime95 for a hour each to test for stabilty without any problems so I am at a loss to explain why this is happening. Previously Windows 8 was running fine without issue for me.

Here is the crash report;

Hi thanks for that,

How many passes should I run, it has completed 1 pass in 45 minutes with 0 errors

Thanks

One pass per stick is sufficient.

Any other ideas?

Could this be Graphics card related about a week ago one night my graphics card kept crashing saying the driver had stopped working. Then after a driver reinstall it was fine. I reinstalled window 8 anyway but I'm still having the explorer.exe errors and no idea what the trot cause is.

Explorer crashes are tricky. Can be a problem on a software or hardware level. Can you list your complete system specs for me, mate?

Do a small experiment for me. Go into Safe Mode and use your computer for a while there doing different tasks. See if Explorer still crashes.

What version BIOS are you running?
