==================================================

I have 32GB 1600MHz Patriot Intel Extreme Masters Edition ram and on stock setting this would keep causing BSOD stated in title. So far I tried following methods...

1 . Changing ram timing. It was 9-9-9-24-1 on stock which seemed to be a bit too tight and I tried to go as far as 12-13-12-32-3 but it did not fix the issue.

2 . Increasing voltage. Now my rams are running @ 1.65V. Did not fix anything. Also increased PLL to 1.15. Didn't fix.

3 . Tried some hotfixes from Microsoft website that I managed to find while googling

All of the above did not help with BSOD. The RAMs passed TM5 50 cycles no problem, so I think ram timing/clock speeds are not an issue.

I want to attach my minidump file as well but the forum wouldn't let me. Please help!

Here are my system specs :

Rampage IV Gene
i7 3930k
H80i
MSI 670 PE
Corsair Force 3 240GB SSD
Silverstone Strider Plus 750W
Patriot 32GB 4x8 RAM Intel Extreme Masters Edition

What OS are you using now?

99.9% sure this has nothing to do with overclocking but with the version of Intel RSTe you are using. Let me guess 3.5.x or 3.2.x?

Yeah I use 3.5.x that I downloaded latest from Asus support page. Was it a bad move?

It's been known to cause these crashes for a lot of people. Find a 3.1 version that is safe:)

^ +1 Seen this bfr.
i7-3930K; Asus RIVE; G.SKILL Ripjaws Z 4x4GB DDR3 1866; MSI 7870 2GD5/OC; Crucial M4 SSD 256GB;
Corsair 1000HX; Corsair H100, 4x Excalibur 120mm PWM CPU Fan p-p, AS5; SB X-Fi Titanium Fata1ity Pro;
Dell U2412m IPS 1920x1200; Cooler Master HAF 932 case; Tripp-Lite OMNIVS1500 UPS fully Line-interactive.
(EVGA site: ) And I have a second (wife's) computer, Eve.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

Tried out 11.6.0.1030 before seeing your post and so far I'm getting no crashes anymore. I will try that version as well if anythjing goes wrong. Thanks 😄

11.x 12.x versions are also safe.

There is a version 3.6 for RSTe now too I believe.

Indeed. Not sure if it's safe regarding this issue though.. The only 3.x branch I know that's stable regarding this, is the 3.1.x
Have you tested 3.6?

Same solution then. Get 3.1.x drivers (you can try the new 3.6) or use the 11.x+ plain RST drivers.
