I have the g46 right now and I absolutely love it. My only thing is that I would like to possibly upgrade to the i7. Is this even possible or not? If it is, can somebody give me some suggestions or recommendations on the perferred i7 I should put in it? Thanks in advance.

hey few of us already done so, bascially any 3rd gen I7 will fit it seems like you upgraded your other parts already and if you ordered thru hid-evo you had the choice to ugprade cpu even to an I7 3920xm. I7 3740qm is very good price for performance right now, but the better ones would be 3840qm, i don't recommend going with 3900xm they are not really worth the price/performance difference

asus do not suggest do it even over warranty, but i saw so many people do that.

Did you see a big difference when you switched from i5 to i7 and also from 8GB to 16GB.

I am planning to upgrade my g46 to i7-3840QM and also 16GB CORSAIR; is there a huge difference in boot time or gaming?

Hi, I've burned my motherboard changing the DC Jack in, and my pc has only a year... OMG...

Do you know where can I buy another by confidence

My pc is G46VW i7, 3650QM

GTX 660M, 16 GB DDR3 1600Mhz

And I've just burned it...!!!

Motherboard needed URGENTLY ... 😞

Also, anyone upgraded their screen? I've been looking at the 900p screen for awhile now & just saw that they now have a 1080p version. Anyone upgraded to it?
