AES support disabled by Asus?

Why does processor in my notebook (G53SW-SZ141V) not support AES instructions? I got an answer from Intel employee:

"I would recommend running the Intel® Processor Identification Utility to determine if the processor is being properly recognized.
If that is the case, then please contact the laptop manufacturer since they can disable processor features trough the BIOS of the laptop."
