New Crosshair V Formula takes 20-40 seconds to post.

    Hardware setup:
    AMD Phenom II 1090t 3.2GHz
    G.Skill Eco (2x2GB) 1600MHz DDR3 F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO
    ADATA 128GB SII SSD (AS599S-128GM-C)
1TB Western Digital Caviar Black (WD1002FAEX)
    2 (CF) x PowerColor Radeon HD 6970
1200w Silent Pro Gold CoolerMaster PSU
LG DVD-RW (Just some cheap OEM pick-up)

Every thing seems to have installed fine, the board even posted normally before I began installing drivers and updating windows.

Now every time it boots up, cold or warm, it can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute just to post. (My thread title is inaccurate, I just couldn't find where to update it)

I've noticed the VGA Led will go solid briefly on start-up, then it's replaced by the HDD LED and it appears to say solid the entire time the motherboard hangs before posting... but promptly goes away afterwards.

Windows is completely updated. Drivers are all installed. I haven't seen any Blue Screens yet.

Any insight on how I might be able to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe try double check your bios settings:
    1.bios>advanced>sb sata config>sata port1-sata port4 (or) sata port5/6> (?)
    2.bios>advanced>onboard device config>sata storage controller> (?)
    3.bios>boot>boot option #1> (?)

Sounds like its looking for where to start...good luck.c.

I managed to fix the problem, I think... lol.

I kept thinking about what I changed after I installed all the hardware and one of the things I setup was a USB e-adapter...

So I unplugged the bugger before my next trial boot-up and voila...

Post is near instant, but what the hell is up with that? I put it back in and it hangs before posting.

As far as I can tell, it's nothing wrong with the settings. Every thing checks out.

I have the same problems like you. Only in my case it is a USB-WiFi-stick that makes trouble. Here the link to my thread.
