Z87-WS: C1 vs C2 stepping chipset revision status help thanks

Please, could someone with a recent August version of the Z87-WS board (or Z87 Intel series) kindly
run CPU-Z and identify if the mainboard Southbridge Intel Z87 Rev. is C1 or C2 thank you.

2nd wave of Z87 ROG series transitioned to Haswell C2 chipset conversion; but, haven't found news
regarding non-ROG Intel platform series Z87-WS/Deluxe/Dual/Pro/A/Expert/Plus/K/C models.
I have a feeling I'll be waiting until Sept/Oct before C2 reaches Z87 Intel series boards.

Is there perhaps a specific model version/code/serial sequence number of the Asus Z87-WS
w/C2 update I can search/confirm with a retailer before purchase?
Only found this info browsing the web..

Features of the Z87-WS workstation model are great, PLX PEX (8747) bridge PCIe 3.0 x16/x16/etc,
    SATA/eSATA/mSATA and S/PDIF ports.
Many consider the USB3 C1 bug a small nuisance impacting a few devices; but, I've got many
superspeed external USB3 controller storage/devices and I use S3 sleep mode.
    Thanks.

Thanks, but the Z87-WS isn't mentioned here. So its possible that
    1. current version is C2
    2. current version is C1 and there were no plans to build a C2 variant

    Anyone?

that's great iatacsl9, may i inquire as to where in the world you found that list if its publicly available?
i heard Asus assigned Z87 C2 refreshed boards an sku part number ending with numeral '5', i guess that's true.
    thanks again for sharing that.

Ok. Maybe in server mb dont used the same number...

I know that new versions of asus z87 ws have a "A" in the name of the board.

In the pcb you can read:

    Asus z87 ws
    R1.04A

If you dont see A, ita a C1.

But maybe you like more a C1, new bios for C2 have lock some control turbo for non cpu Ks...

    Hello,
My apologies for a little hijack of the thread. However, does anyone have a similar information with regard to Z87i-Deluxe? The table above presents information only for the full-size board (z87-deluxe), not the mini-itx...

Thank you for help. I have been trying for a couple of weeks to establish how to buy z87i-deluxe with c2 stepping...

hi theriel, my guess is z87i-deluxe is part of the asus 'Intel Series' motherboards and will most likely get a new model number ending with the numeral '5' like all the rest in the series that were revised with a C2 chipset fix.
I can only assume from iatacs19's list is that it is somekind of resellers update list with new SKU #'s and barcodes only for motherboards that were freshed.
What you might try is asking your seller what the exact model number is before buying..

I can confirm that ALL revisions bios limit access to turbo mode in non-k procesors...

I have a 4770s, and can run similar 4770K with bios 0904 in asus z87 ws...

if i install bios 1302, turbo mode stop in x35~x36... not more. 3.5 Ghz...

I think that all versión C2, have more new bios and have limit on turbo mode...

I see bug c1 usb files too... it´s present...

your choice... ; (more turbo mode in auto, or not bug bios usb c1)

    other test:

    starcraft 2: bios 1302 : 70~120 fps.

    starcraft 2: bios 0904: 90~150-160 fps.

    load on cpu.

    one~two cores.

    speed: 1302: 3.5~3.6 Ghz...

    0904: 3.9 ghz-4.5ghz.... (OCCT)

    ---

all in auto, non OC, only bios control.
