Old team dead. Hello new team.

I used to be in a small wow team but over the past few years they've dwindled and died. And since I'm a so die-hard about folding (even when my hardware is currently mediocre) and due to the fact that I've been a big fan of Asus (and Corsair) for quite some time, I'm going to start folding for you guys.

Until I get my new machine built (when the second run of bulldozers in Q1 2012 hits) I'll only be folding on two Asus HD 5770 cards in my Athlon64 X2 5600+ computer. It's not much for now, but a couple thousand points a day never hurts. And I've got my PS3 running folding for the team.

Once my new comp is done, expect two 580 matrix cards and a 460 going 8-12 hours a day, though.

welcome to the club. hopefully after pax, things will start to ramp back up
    ASUS is pronounced "Ay-SOOS"
    ROG should be pronounced "R - O - G"

I do not know if you are using v7 or not but those 2 - 5770 should be producing more than a couple thousand PPD. v7 will allow you to run the new open GL WU's which do allot better on the newer ATI cards. http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.ph...=18302&start=0

Well. Around about 2000. It's somewhere between 2k-3k now. I only fold maybe 8-10 hours a day. One of the fans on one just died lastnight so I had to remove it until I can get an aftermarket replacement heatsync for it. It's a two pin (tiny plug) fan.

Might just say 'heck with it' and get a cheap $100 quadcore AM3 955 chip to go into the new crosshair board so i can start folding on a couple of matrix cards earlier than anticipated. They're nice chips for being only a quadcore.

Seems like my current dual core Athlon64 5600+ wasn't really pushing both cards like it should anyways. Seems like I'm getting as much out of a single card now. I'm currently using a Dell XPS 625 for folding.

Welcome Rippedsoul. I have been experimenting with a phenom II 955 to run two 570's and a 460. Works very well, actually, but don't expect many points from that cpu
