What is the highest safe temperature for G74/G73 GPUs?
Anyone knows what is the highest safe temperature for G74/G73 GPUs (AMD 5870M / nVidia 460M / nVidia 560M)?
My Asus G74SX GPU Avg Temperature when running:
* StarCraft II @ 1920x1080 Medium Graphic Settings (after an hour of playing): 60 deg C
* Battlefield Bad Company 2 @ 1920x1080 Medium Graphic Settings (after an hour of playing): 66 deg C

The highest Ive seen the GTX 460m my G73sw-3DE GPU temp is at 82c playing Crysis 2 in Ultra mode...other wise max setting on other games I tend to be on 76c.
running FurMark for about 30 mins load it up to 93c.
It idles about 56c - 62c on AC power. 43c on battery.
According to nVidia this is still safe temp cause the Fermi GPU was tested at 105c and was still running stable...didnt realy specify whats the max temps.-ASUS ROG G73SW-3DE-

Not necessarily what you asked, but this g51j runs up to 102 during games for me, with a mod that sets fan speed to max, on a dual fan cooler. Hold there, stable, with scorching exhaust. Yeah, she's on ebay to get me a g73.
