Blinking battery LED light G750JH

So, today I turned on my G750JH and the USB on which I boot Ubuntu (without installing) was plugged, the fans were really loud, it didn't concern me much, since it was my first time booting up linux on a USB stick. Anyway, I turned it of, removed the USB stick, booted up Windows 8 (which took 2-3 secs, usually it takes 8-9, I have an SSD) the fans were again noisy as hell again, when I went on to the Desktop, the battery was crossed with a red X, took out the battery and placed it in again and the X disappeared, and then I restarted my laptop, the fans were normal, but the LED light for the battery was blinking green-orange.

I don't know if the blinking was there when I booted Ubuntu and when I booted Windows after it, I only noticed it the second time I booted Windows.

I wrote down in detail above what I did.
It never happened before to me.

Might sound obvious, but the LED blinks when battery is low... I assume you are plugged in, however. Maybe you need to do a windows reboot (remember that shutting off windows 8 doesn't really shut it off, because of the fast boot). Log into windows, and click restart. Possibly, the battery is de-calibrated. I doubt your battery went bad yet (too new).

Ohh, forgot to mention that the fast boot option is turned off :S
Ok, will try it now 😄

the other thing i'm thinking is that if the battery is de-calibrated, then run the computer on battery until it rans out, remove it, press the power button of the computer to completely drain power, wait 30 minutes so all energy is consumed by the motherboard, then press powerbutton again (overkill, but whatever), then re-install battery and plug into outlet. Do not start windows, look at the battery light. Is it charging? (constant orange). If so, allow for full charge (until it turns green), then start windows.

that sounds like a battery issue... Does your windows detect the battery and can estimate its charge?
